Action for Race Equality

Help inspire young people take action: We’re hiring new Expert Role-Models!

Action for Race Equality (ARE) is delighted to be recruiting knowledgeable and skilled individuals to help deliver our Routes2Success programme to young people.

Routes2Success (R2S) matches Black, Asian and ethnic minority role models with young people aged 10 – 24 from a similar background. As part of recent funding from the Mayor of London’s ‘A New Deal for Young People’ initiative, we’re delighted to be recruiting for a cohort of skilled individuals, in our newly created Expert Role-model positions.

A number of paid positions are available.

Individuals will be involved in identifying, planning and carrying out Race Equality Action Projects (REAP) with young people involved in Routes2Success. The projects will address the needs/issues affecting Black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.

This is an excellent opportunity to empower young people to make a difference. We want expert role models to reflect a cross section of occupations and experiences, who are able to engage with young people and show a strong commitment to the process of motivating young people to execute a project.

We are looking for professional individuals, particularly from fields that are sometimes perceived as constrained by ethnicity and/or gender, e.g. social entrepreneurs, architects, senior managers in the private, public and voluntary sector.
