Action for Race Equality (ARE) is looking for a dedicated Project Development & Engagement officer for its flagship programme Routes2Success (R2S).

Routes2Success is Action for Race Equality’s long-running ethnic minority role model and mentoring programme, supported by the Mayor of London (through the New Deal for Young People), National Lottery Community Fund and Blackbaud, for the benefit of children and young people aged between 10 – 24 who live in London.

Our main policy interests are education, employment and race disproportionality in the criminal justice system (CJS).

See the difference you can make

We are seeking to attract a talented and enthusiastic ‘can do’ individual to join our team. R2S has been successfully running for over a decade and we are now seeking to expand the team with a Local Project Development & Engagement Officer who will be responsible for setting up and supporting Race Equality Action Projects (REAP) led by young people aged 10 – 24 years old.

The successful candidate will have the commitment and skills to work with young people and the agencies that support and encourage them to set up a new project. The R2S team includes the Director, Programme Manager, Project Coordinator and works with 25 volunteer role models and mentors who take part in events across London.
