Policy Advisor (Secondment)

Katie is a Policy Advisor for EQUAL. She joined ARE in 2022 on secondment from the Civil Service, having worked in a variety of policy roles across central government with experience in legislation, communications, and international trade.
Prior to joining the Civil Service, Katie completed a History degree at the University of York, focusing on gender and international relations in the 20th Century. She has a background in pro-bono consultancy and volunteering in the education sector, and is a firm supporter in the importance and key role of intersectionality in all aspects of society.
